Matthew Bond is the Managing Director and a financial advisor with SGC Financial & Insurance Services in San Mateo, California. Matthew’s primary role at SGC is to help new financial advisors achieve success for themselves, their families and their clients.

When working as a financial advisor, Matthew teaches his clients how to build, protect, utilize and transfer wealth. Matthew guides his clients through a process of goal identification and provides a step-by-step approach to successful goal achievement. Matthew enjoys working with self-employed individuals, executives, and emerging businesses to create customized strategies that aim to accommodate their every changing financial need while helping to provide tax-advantage benefits.

Matthew has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He was first introduced the financial services industry when he worked as an intern at a top money management firm while attending college. During this same period, Matthew volunteered as a community representative for the Marine Life Protection Act and was an active participant in the creation of the new marine reserve parks off the coast of California’s Channel Islands. Matthew joined the SGC team in 2002. Matthew lives in San Jose, California with his wife, daughter and son. He enjoys cooking, gardening, and spearfishing.
