Michael has been with SGC Financial & Insurance Services since 1990 and brings a notable background to the organization. He graduated from St. Mary’s College, CA, with an undergraduate degree in Theology/Philosophy and a graduate degree in Education. He was a member of the Christian Brothers religious teaching order for six years. Prior to joining the firm, he spent nine years as an administrator and instructor for Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose, CA .

As SGC Financial and Services’ president, Michael is responsible for implementation of the firm’s mission and vision with special emphasis on advisor retention and management of strategic partner relationships. He is a member of the California and National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the General Agents and Managers Association, charter member for Securian Financial Network’s National Advisory Board, charter member and past president of Securian’s Agency Management Resource Group, and charter member for Standard Insurance Company’s National Advisory Board.

As a committed advocate for the financial services industry, Michael has served on the Executive Board for Silicon Valley, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors as Vice-President of Membership (95-97), Vice President of Finance (97-98), and President (98-99).

Michael is an active member of the community. He has served on the Executive Board of Directors for local Chambers of Commerce and YMCA’s.

Michael and his wife, Linda, make their home in San Jose, CA. They enjoy gardening, cooking and traveling.
